Much as I too would like to see England play Italy in a world cup, (possibly a semi final) there is a date in the finals with Germany that has been looming for my entire adult life. :)

My "old man" is over staying with me at the moment and after the game(which we taped coz obviously we watched Italy first..lol) we started betting on the back page headlines in the tabloids the next morning..."FAB-ULOUS" or "The Italian Job"..were our "unbiased favourites"..lol. England played well and deserved every goal as far as i'm concerned and i still "have a dream"...England Vs Italy in a world cup final.

I think the England team should be watchable on terrestial TV to everyone in the country wants to watch them.

Alternatively, they should stop calling themselves England and go under the name of FA Ltd.

i just a report on the bbc sport website and i am so glad i was out tonight and didn't watch it.
it is so depressing, isn't it?
you just get the feeling that capello and the rest of the hierarchy there are just content to take the money for a while to top up their pension fund.
i'm almost tempted to offer the job to stuart pearce because at least we'd get some passion into our game!

Yep got to agree with you there Kevin. Can't understand why he picked the squad Saturday night when there was some big games on the Sunday - surely he should have waited till after those games ?

I know its only a friendly but it seems we dont take the opportunity to try new forwards. I mean Jermain Defoe and Theo Walcott ? they will never produce for their country and they never produce for their clubs - can't understand it.
